I am a quick learner and started creating murals just by observing and then following the lead of my mentors Gary Lloyd, Dave Barsky, Karen Kristen, and Philip Slagter. Through them I learned how to paint big. I quickly became known in the industry for producing high quality, large-scale murals in a short period of time. My main arena for a while was producing sets for music videos. I paint in a large variety of styles, from large-scale movie backdrops to full buildings and movie sets.
I have painted more murals than I can remember over my career, both public art and privately commissioned artwork. My first was for a junior high school in Los Angeles. The largest was the Venetian Casino in Macau, SAR, China. It was for the sky ceilings throughout the canal shops. It was created through Skydrops and Karen Kristin, totaling 7.5 acres of painted scenery. My favorite, however, was the Uptown Theater in Napa, California. It was a complete restoration circa Art Co 1936. My most recent was in the mid-city Pico Union area in Los Angeles. It was created as a set piece for the TV series Roar.
